Station House #5 was opened in 1971 and serves as the main
headquarters for the Mehlville Fire Protection District. This station was
extensively remodeled and expanded in 2001 in order to accommodate the
growing needs for space-storage and training and additional future emergency
crews. At this house On the South Side you will find the administrative
offices, Board of Directors , The Fire Marshals / Fire Prevention offices.
The Training / Safety division. This station is currently home to many
assorted vehicles and officers. The Fire Duty Chief and the EMS Deputy Chier
are stationed at this station along with Pumper 1750 with three personnel
and ALS ambulance 1757 with two Paramedics as well as Heavy Duty Rescue
Squad 1756 with three personnel. The Districts 100 aerial platform truck is
stationed here and is staffed part time by the crew of 1750. This station
also houses a reserve ambulance. This stations the fifth busiest station in
the Mehlville Fire Protection District. This station covers an area from
I-55 on the East to Gravois Road on the North and I-270 on the South. And
Concord Village Ave. / Baptist Church Road on the West. This station and
offices are approximately 41,000 square feet.
