Within these pages you will find a detailed listing of the current apparatus serving within the Mehlville Fire Protection District. The type of apparatus and their placement throughout the District lends itself to a great amount of versatility. Every engine company is equipped with a standard complement of NFPA equipment, an extrication tool complete with spreaders and cutters and BLS medical equipment.  Engines 1710, 1730 and 1760 operate short wheelbase standard pumpers that are the most compact and maneuverable in the fleet. Engines 1750 and 1770 operate larger, rescue-style pumpers that in addition to their normal equipment carry specialized rescue equipment including a four bottle-6000 psi air cascade. Engines 1722 and 1742 operate units equipped with a 75' rear mounted aerial ladder.  Structural responses include the four closest engine companies (which in most cases include at least one each of the short wheel base pumpers, a rescue-pumper and one of the 75' quints), the heavy rescue and one of the ambulances. The 100' aerial platform responds to all commercial, institutional and multi-family alarms in lieu of one of the engine companies.

EMS responses include the nearest Life Support Vehicle and if the severity of the emergency necessitates, the closest engine company will also respond.
